 Today in class, we continued the task from yesterday. It was due at the end of class, and once everyone finished, we moved on to another assignment. During class, we had to take a mini-assessment and I got a 95 on it. We were trying to be the best class to have the highest average score. Unfortunately, we weren't able to complete the task. During my fifth period, we kept taking more notes on the new chapter we started the day before. In my last period, we went upstairs to play basketball. My team and I went undefeatable going 4-0.

Today in class, we worked on another assignment using Newsela. It was due at the end of class, and once everyone finished, we moved on to another assignment. After, we had to get into groups of three and work together to figure out an explanation for an article. Unfortunately, we weren't able to complete the task. During my fifth period, we kept taking more notes on the new chapter we started the day before. During the last fifteen minutes of class, I had to leave early because I had to take the flag down for a class.

  Today in class we did more work on Newsela. We had an assignment that was due at the end of class. I almost finished with everything but I left some parts out. So I had to finish the rest for homework. In my 5th period, we started on a new chapter in the book. There were a lot of notes that we had to fill out but I did all of them thankfully. For my last period, we went outside because our teacher wasn't there and we played football. 

 Today in class all we did was work on Newsela. We had an assignment and had to complete it in class. Most students did, but some didn't and had to do it for homework. During my last period, we had a test on what we had been reviewing. It wasnt that hard since we could use the notes we took in class. I think I did pretty well since I filled out all the notes in class. For my last period, we had chest day, which is my favorite exercise. 

 Today in class we went over some topics and we had to write about them. We had to answer ten questions and most of them were hard to do. I didn't really get what to do so the teacher did two of the questions with us to get a headstart. After he helped us I understanded it better, but not completely. I didn't finish all of it in class so I did it over the weekend. In my 7th period we went upstairs to play basketball. The teacher joined us and it was so unfair because he was better than all of us. 

Today in class we went on newsela and read about how hitting "snooze" can boost morning cognition, study hints. I can relate to this topic a lot. When you have an alarm set up for the morning you should always get out of bed when you here it go off. Oftenly people including me press snooze for that extra 5 to 10 more minutes of rest. But what you are really doing to yourself in making yourself more tired. So when you wake up you feel more drowsiness. What you can do to prevent this is going to sleep more early or putting your alarm far away from where you are sleeping so you have to get up to turn it off. 

 Today we had an assignment on newsela about fast-food giants overwork teenagers, driving America's child labor crisis. It was all new to me so I didn't know what to expect to be reading. Before I read the article skimmed through it to see what it was about. After that I thought that it was about how fast-food places negatively impact teenagers in their life's. An example could be having teenagers have long shifts, and leaving late at night. That could impact them in a lot of ways. Once I wasn't struggling with the questions it gave me.

 Today we had an assignment on newsela about how tech-related jobs are the future. I was somewhat familiar with what I was reading because everyone uses technology these days. I had to read the whole article in class and answer questions on it. I got a every question right because they weren't that hard to understand. Some I already knew off the top of my head. In my opinion I think that what the article is saying will be true in the near future. The use of technology has escalated rapidly in the years. Its also not going to stop there. There will be way more useful technology in the future.

 Today in class we finished the test we did yesterday. I had to write a essay yesterday but I wrote down some things on it yesterday so it wouldn't take as long. Today in my 3rd period I sat next to my friends because we didn't really have anything to do in class since we finished it in class the other day. At the end of the day I thought we would go upstairs to play basketball for 7th period. But the coach said that we were going outside instead of upstairs. Everybody wasn't happy because we all wanted to go to the gym to play. When we went out we at least brought some footballs so it wouldn't be as boring. I tried to kick a field goal and I did alright. One of my friends told me how to kick it properly and the longest I did it from was twenty-five yards away.

 Today in class we had a test. We had to answer some questions about the topic, and summarize parts of it. It was only 20 questions but I could only finish nineteen of the twenty. The last one took the longest because we had to write an essay on everything. In my homeroom today I just chilled and watched netflix on my phone. After homeroom I had rotc which all we did was marching, it was a little bit of fun but not that much. We also talked about the military ball that's was coming up on friday. 

 Today in class I worked on my cultural poem that we worked on yesterday. Its kind of difficult to make a poem about your culture. There are so many differents things you kind talk about so I don't know which to choose. During class a picked out what I want the topic to be about, and I chose myth and legends in my culture. It was weird trying to phrase how I was gonna make a poem about it, but I'll make it work. In seventh period today I played a two versus two basketball game with my friends and it was really fun because my team won.

 Today in class all we did was a test. I think I did a pretty descent score on it, I did struggle with some things but not enough to think that I did bad. The test was about poems and answering questions on it. In my first period we watched a movie in spanish and wrote down what it talked about. In fourth period which in rotc, we learned a different type of marching which was kind of weird to learn. We had to march backwards and then end up in a line. It was very confusing to learn because we had to stay in step at the same time as marching backwards.

        Today in class we had to work on poems. I did a little bit of work and I couldn't finish it all, so I had to take the rest home. Today in one of my classes we watched something for almost the whole class time. We had to answer some questions about it which was alright. In my fourth period today we talked about what was going to be happening over the weekend with the program and how we were going to handle it. Also today in weight we had a leg and deadlift max out day. I surprised myself because I hit a new pr in both, by 10 pounds more each.
