Yannis Blog Post 3/1/24

 Today in class I worked on my cultural poem that we worked on yesterday. Its kind of difficult to make a poem about your culture. There are so many differents things you kind talk about so I don't know which to choose. During class a picked out what I want the topic to be about, and I chose myth and legends in my culture. It was weird trying to phrase how I was gonna make a poem about it, but I'll make it work. In seventh period today I played a two versus two basketball game with my friends and it was really fun because my team won.

 In class today we did another poem and we had to read and talk about it. I wasn’t struggling with anything during today’s assignments because they weren’t hard. It was a pretty good day because my cousin slept over the weekend and we had a really fun time. Over the weekend I went up to South Carolina because of a basketball tournament, and we won the championship. In wieght training today we had to do an upper body workout. My group had four people in it and we did chest, and shoulders. After the workout my body was hurting a lot and later I was sore.

      Today in class we had to work on a lot of poems. It was a lot of work and I couldn't finish it all, so I had to take the rest home.We had 4 poems, we did two on friday and almost two today. Over the weekend I had a fun time because I went with some friends to a trampoline park. There were a lot of fun activities do to. There was a bunch a slides with mats, dodgeball, basketball court, and more. The basketball court was the most fun out of the rest. Today in weight training we had to do a bench max, I was really happy with my results because I was back out my highest max I've done.

 Today in class we went over a what we had to do in our presentation on Thursday. My job is to pick a character in the book " The Great Navy". The character I chose is Daisy and I have to present her to the class about what she is like. What I struggled with today is that I found out that we don't present in groups so that just got me nervous because I don't like presenting by myself. Today wasn't that good, the whole weekend I didn't feel good since I was sick, and I came to school today still not feeling 100 percent. In most of my classes I didn't focus as much as I used to, hopefully I will be better as soon as possible. In my 7th period class we had a sub which I was happy about because I could slack off in weight training. The sub wasn't telling us to do anything so the whole time I worked on other class work.
